Are you an ambitious Area Sales Manager with a passion for international business development? Do you want to play a key role in expanding a cutting-edge agricultural innovation across Africa? Solynta is looking for a driven sales professional to strengthen its commercial presence and accelerate market penetration in the region.

As Area Sales Manager Africa, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales and business development strategies to establish Solynta’s hybrid potato technology in key African markets. With existing market registrations and strong business opportunities already in place, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact. You will work closely with partners, customers, and internal teams to drive commercial success. This position requires frequent travel (30%), spending approximately one week per month in Africa.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and go-to-market strategies to drive business growth in Africa.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships to expand Solynta’s market presence.
  • Leverage existing market registrations and opportunities to accelerate commercial success.
  • Act as the regional market expert, providing insights on customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with Solynta’s global strategy.
  • Represent Solynta at industry events, customer meetings, and trade fairs.

Wij vragen

  • 5+ years of international sales experience in agriculture, seeds, crop protection, or related sectors.
  • Based in the Netherlands, with willingness to travel frequently (approximately 30%).
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans.
  • Understanding of African agricultural markets and business environments.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages relevant to the region are a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
